Jupiter, Florida, September 1, 2006: Vision Database Systems (VDS) is proud to announce the success of yet another mass carding event. Working closely with the Eastern Illinois University carding office, VDS was able to supply over 14,000 of the University’s ID cards within 10 days, meeting the high expectations of the University.
Vision Database Systems was able to provide a full turnkey solution to Eastern Illinois University (EIU) that included photo ID software, hardware and specialized printers that met the exact specifications that the University wanted for their smart-cards. The photo ID software called IDMS (Identification Management System) was designed and developed in house by VDS and enabled the efficient process of over 250 students per hour during peak carding times.
Vision Database Systems also helped the University organize the logistics of the mass carding event. Drawing upon our years of experience with such events, VDS was able to help organize ID queues, streamline redundant processes and assist the University in priming the newly created Smart Cards for use in banking and meal plans. VDS also trained the temporary University staff that assisted at the carding event, many of whom had never used such a system before. From stem to stern, Vision Database Systems helped Eastern Illinois University re-card their entire campus on time, within budget and in a friendly, professional manner.
