Jupiter, Florida, June 9, 2006: Vision Database Systems is proud to unveil the latest addition to our robust PockeTracker platform: United States Drivers License read capability. This new module will allow security personnel to scan a drivers license issued from any State in the United States and retrieve the information off of the license. This is an excellent way to quickly locate forged drivers licenses if the data scanned does not match that printed on the physical ID as well as quickly identify the age of the card holder. Another great use of this feature is to obtain information rapidly and accurately when time is precious such as in response to an emergency. PockeTracker can now read the information, store that data and / or transmit that data back to a headquarters wirelessly.
PockeTracker allows security employees to instantly check personnel status to permit or deny entry. Using this software with a Pocket PC and peripherals such as barcode or magstripe scanner, fingerprint or contactless reader, one can instantly scan and display the subject’s photo and verify status based upon pre-determined data criteria. Literally thousands of personnel photos and data are instantly accessible using a WIFI wireless network, or can be stored locally in the Pocketracker. With ODBC compliancy, PockeTracker can talk to any number of database engines currently in use, streamlining data migrations offering more flexibility than ever before.
